The Community Improvement Award Program, sponsored by the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce and the Huntingdon County Planning Commission, is intended to recognize excellence in development.  Award categories include: 

• New Construction

• Preservation

• Community Spirit

• Special Merit  

The 2023 Awards were presented by the Chamber of Commerce and Kish Bank as part of the HCPC's March 8, 2024 Annual Dinner Meeting and Awards Presentation.  Awardees included:

• Community Spirit - Huntingdon Area Food Pantry, Huntingdon, PA;

• Community Spirit - Huntingdon Community Center, Huntingdon, PA;

• Preservation - Huntingdon Presbyterian Church, Huntingdon, PA;

• Preservation - NAPA Auto Parts, Mount Union, PA; and

• Special Merit - Blair Park Revival, Huntingdon, PA

• New Construction - Bobcat of Huntingdon, Huntingdon, PA;

• Community Spirit - 313 12th Street, Huntingdon, PA (Huntingdon County Arts Council); and

• Special Merit - Mount Union Area Community Garden
